1. I have an issue concerning our namesake.
It seems very clear to me that we, fans of Benedict Cumberbatch, still have not adopted a name, yet, that we can all agree upon.
Which I find sad.
So I’m gonna promote “Cumbercookie”, to you my fellow lovers of all things Cumberbatch, which I understand is known, but not known well enough.
I understand many refer to themselves as “Cumberbitches” which I get, sort of, it does sound quite fierce. But the man to which we owe our name and adoration doesn’t seem to like it himself, so why continue to use it.
I also know of the “Cumbercollective” which is surely less offensive and very popular, but a bit too formal, too square, too straight laced, which I am sure we are not. So that term, I find, isn’t very true to US.
There’s also the “Cumberbabes”, which I know Benedict mentioned himself, but I think that’s a bit dull, a bit boring, a bit obvious.
Which brings me to “Cumbercookie”, a truly clever tag. It’s cute, smart, and zany just like us. It also connects directly back to Benedict’s name, making it clear who we obsess over, we are Cumbercookies of the Cumberbatch. C’mon, you can’t tell me you don’t love it.
So yeah that’s my rant, and I’m sorry if this isn’t even an issue with us anymore, but from my extensive research of the interwebz we are divided into, a really rough estimate of 40% Cumbercollective, 30% Cumberbitches, 20% Cumberbabes, and 10% Cumbercookies. I’m not good at math. But if it is the case that this isn’t a problem anymore somebody should really inform Benedict, that we aren’t “bitches” anymore. Love ya!
